WATFORD LIVE! 2012 COMMUNITY FAIR

As part of the activities associated with the Watford Live! 2012 Community Arts Festival, a Community Fair will take place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, 2nd June 2012 in Charter Place. Local voluntary and community groups are most welcome to participate in the Community Fair, which will provide them with an opportunity to provide promotional and recruitment literature to members of the public.

Hopefully, this will widen public understanding and appreciation of the valuable work of many local groups who are dedicated to helping and promoting citizen involvement in a wide range of local and communal activities.

To participate, you will need to bring along your own table (maximum length 6 feet) plus portable chairs and a couple of people to staff the table between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Our normal charge is £3 per evening but it will be just £1, tea and biscuits included, for newcomers this evening.

Watford Filmhouse in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire, will be presenting a programme of short films entitled, 'Local Films for Local People'. This event will feature the work of film students from local schools and colleges and local people. So, it is not only a great opportunity for students to show their films to a wider audience, but for the audience to see some exciting and innovative new films. Who knows, maybe we will see the work of a budding Speilberg or Bigelow, so don't forget - you saw them here first!
